Dr. George Awad, Chief of Psychiatry and Physician Director at Humber River Regional Hospital (HRRH), was elected the first President on the International Society of Central Nervous System Clinical Trials and Methodology this September.The society, based in Nashville Tennessee, represents a cross-section of stakeholders and includes representatives from Canada, the United States, Europe, and a large number of Asian and South American countries.Dr. Awad will formally accept his new position at the society's inaugural scientific meeting that will take place in Montreal in February 2005.

Dr. George Awad, chief of psychiatry and physician director, Mental Health program at the hospital was elected president of the International Society of Central Nervous System Clinical Trials and Methodology at their founding meeting in September.
