Phil ATKINSON - Research Manager, Terrestrial Ecology Unit

Dr Phil Atkinson from the BTO will be visiting Uganda for a week tohold a workshop involving Makerere University, government and NGOs toidentify areas where the country needs to develop skills andexperience.As well as being Research Manager at the BTO, Dr Atkinsonhas been working in African bird research and with African birdorganisations since 1991.

Dr Atkinson said: "Uganda is one of the richest countries in Africa in terms ofbiodiversity.
