Dr. Steve Atallah

Southfield, Mich. - Steve Atallah, M.D. has been appointed medical director of PPOM, the Midwest's largest independent preferred provider organization.Dr. Atallah, a board certified internal medicine practitioner, will oversee medical staff relations and clinical issues including physician credentialing and utilization review for PPOM's provider network.Prior to joining PPOM, Atallah served as medical director and president of MAP and chairman of the board of MAPCO, a joint venture between MAP, a multi-specialty Oakwood physician group, and Oakwood Healthcare System.

Dr. Atallah is a member of the Wayne County Medical Society, Michigan State Medical Society, American College of Physicians, American College of Physician Executives and American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians.Dr. Atallah is a graduate of the University of Baghdad Medical College and holds a Masters of Medical Management degree from Carnegie Mellon University, Heinz School of Business.

Dr. Atallah joined PPOM in mid-October.In addition to his duties at PPOM, Dr. Atallah is continuing his medical practice in Dearborn Heights.

Dr. Atallah is a resident of Farmington Hills.
