   Russell Asser joined Cub Scouts, continued on to Scouts and Venturers and was a founding Member of Cox Memorial Rover Crew. He became an Assistant Scout Leader with St Kilda Sea Scout Group in 1984, he also joined Comedy Capers as a Cast member. In 2002 he became an Activity Leader with Comedy Capers.
   
   As an Activity Leader with Comedy Capers, Russell holds the position as Assistant Production Director / Assistant Producer. Russell serves on the Comedy Capers Executive and is also a Production Team Member.
   
   Russell helps to produce Comedy Capers which involves a two week Show season and a 12 month commitment, working with seven other Team Members who work together to create a Show. Russell is currently also working towards a Leadership Camp for Patrol Leaders, Assistant Patrol Leaders and the Production Team.
   
   Russell is involved in taking a small group from Comedy Capers to Venturer Units to encourage new Members. He has created a presentation which highlights different aspects of the Show.
   
   Russell was involved in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies at the 2004 Jamboree and also keeps the Comedy Capers website up to date, and hasattended the last three National Performing Arts meetings held interstate.
