ADITYA ASSARAT is a Thai filmmaker whose multiple award-winning short films have been invited to screen at many festivals around the world, including Clermont-Ferrand, Tampere, Oberhausen, Sundance, and the New York Film Festival. He made his feature debut in 2005 with the feature-length film 3 Friends, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. In addition to his films, he is also an established music video director with many projects completed for various local Thai artists. Among his music video accomplishments include 10 nominations for the Channel V Music Video Awards, and eventually winning four awards in 2005 including Music Video of the Year. In 2003, he was the recipient of the Hubert Bals Award. In 2004, he was an invited participant at the Sundance Directors Lab in Utah, where he was the recipient of the Annenberg Fellowship. Most notably in 2005, Aditya was the first Film Protégé chosen to work with renowned director Mira Nair as part of the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative.
