   Linda Assante Ms. Assante joined The Townsend Group as a Principal in 2003. Based in the San Francisco office, her current responsibilities include advising U.S. and international clients both on a discretionary and non-discretionary basis on structuring, analyzing and constructing optimal real estate investment portfolios; sourcing, evaluating, and selecting investment managers for both pooled fund and separate account mandates; and providing ongoing investment and program oversight. Portfolio investments include domestic and non-domestic public and private real estate equity and debt. Ms. Assante also maintains primary responsibility for the firm's expertise with regard to Asian real estate and has played an active role in the underwriting of urban investment strategies in the U.S.
   
   Previously, Ms. Assante was a Vice President of JPMorgan and its Head of West Coast Real Estate, Lodging & Gaming Investment Banking from 1998 through 2002. Ms. Assante focused on providing advisory and capital raising services to public and private real estate owners, investors and service providers. She has extensive experience in providing clients with strategic advisory services including mergers and acquisitions, fairness opinions, asset/portfolio dispositions, and analysis of alternatives for maximizing shareholder value including strategic investments, phased liquidations, leveraged buyouts/privatizations, and initial public offerings. Prior to joining JPMorgan's Real Estate Investment Banking Group in 1994, Ms. Assante worked in JPMorgan's Global Credit Group where she specialized in restructuring problem credits and leveraged finance.
   
   Ms. Assante is a member the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) and the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF). In addition, Ms. Assante represents Townsend clients on multiple Investment Advisory Committees including both domestic and non-domestic enhanced and high return funds. Ms. Assante also serves as a Director on the board of James Campbell Company, a Hawaii based private real estate operating company.
   
   Ms. Assante received a B.A. degree in Economics & Business from Lafayette College.
