Hard drive vendor Seagate has ended its search for a new channel manager for the Middle East and Africa with the appointment of Christian Assaf.As revealed by Channel Middle East in February, Seagate has been scouring the Middle East to find a suitable counterpart to work alongside channel manager MEA Ziad Abu Rahal.
Assaf will be reporting to Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa boss Gulfem Cakmakci.

Assaf started his career in computer business in 1989 where he opened his first retail shop whilst studying at university.In his 14 years in the IT industry, Assaf worked for Compuleb - a Seagate partner for the past six years - where he helped the company expand to the Levant and African markets, before founding his own distribution company in Lebanon.
