    FRED ASSADOURIAN, 86, of North Bergen died Tuesday.He was born in Turkey and came to the United States in 1920.He was a survivor of the Armenian Genocide.He had been a professor at New York University, Texas Technological College, Pratt Institute, Stevens Institute of Technology, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Newark College of Engineering, Brooklyn Polytech, and George Washington University.He had also been a research engineer at Westinghouse Research Labs, senior project engineer at ITT Federal Telecommunication Labs, senior engineering scientist at RCA Advanced Communications Labs, and was president of FAHA Consultants.He received his undergraduate, master's, and doctorate degrees in mathematics from New York University.He was a licensed professional engineer in New Jersey.He was a member of the Armenian Presbyterian Church, Paramus, and was past trustee and chairman of publicity for the Building Campaign Committee.He was a member of the Armenian Missionary Association of America and past chairman of its Publication Committee.He also was a member of St. Vartan's Armenian Cathedral and its Publicity Committee.He was a member of Gullabi Gulbenkian Foundation.He was a member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and American Mathematical Society.He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi honorary societies.He was a member of the Armenian General Benevolent Union and served on its executive committee of the Manhattan Chapter, was past chairman of its Eastern District Committee, and was past member of its U.S. Central Committee.He also was a member of the Armenian Students' Association, past president of its New York branch, and served as a treasurer of its board of trustees.Arrangements: Frank A.
