Hassan Assadi-Dastjerdi

TEHRAN -- The Vice-President and Head of the Physical Education Organization (PEO), Mohsen Mehralizadeh, stripped Abdolkarim Sadat-Rezaei of Iran's Gymnastics Federation (IGF) presidency Saturday and appointed Hassan Assadi-Dastjerdi as the caretaker chairman.

In his order, PEO supremo has referred to the sports federations' articles of association, urging the caretaker chief of federation to organize a general assembly in collaboration with the PEO's Department for Federations' Sports Affairs within six months to introduce the permanent head of the Gymnastics Federation.

According to IRNA, Assadi, a physical education professor, has been the vice-president of Tehran Province Physical Education Department for public sports for three years.
