Mark Asplund Elected President Of The Board Of Directors Of The Bellevue Philharmonic

Asplund has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2000.
The Bellevue Philharmonic was founded in 1967 and became a fully professional orchestra in 1998, an important milestone in its journey towards becoming one of the top-ranked arts groups in the region.The orchestra also is the Eastside's oldest and largest performing arts group.
"Bellevue and the greater Eastside have a wonderfully diverse and burgeoning arts community," Asplund said, "of which the Bellevue Philharmonic is an essential part.Live orchestral music is a vital and enriching community resource-a treasure we all share.Our goal, as a Board, is to strengthen the orchestra so that it can continue to serve the needs of a very dynamic Eastside."
Asplund focuses his practice at Lane Powell on environmental law.His practice includes representation of several national retailers in their site acquisition and development work.He has also assists international and multinational clients acquire and permit industrial facilities, power plants, coal mines, commercial facilities, storage facilities, and proposed fiber-optic landings.He routinely represents industrial and real estate clients in allocating environmental liability in real estate transactions, obtaining environmental permits for proposed commercial and industrial facilities, and resolving Superfund liability in some of the State's largest clean-ups.
