Richard Aspinall - Registered Maine Guide & Proprietor
...
Rich has been trip leading and guiding in Maine for over 16 years. He is a Registered Maine Guide and a proud member of both the Maine Professional Guides Association and the Maine Wilderness Guides Organization. Born in Anchorage, Alaska, he grew up and has spent most of his life in the great state of Maine, earned a B.S. degree in Management from the University of Maine, and is fully certified in Wilderness First Aid.
He is a teacher in the Richmond, Maine school department. Before getting into education, he spent over 14 years at L.L. Bean and has had the opportunity to use and test many outdoor products over the years, as well as hike and paddle all of the trails and waterways that he guides on. On his canoe trips he is a stickler for details, and always ensures a safe and exciting adventure.
He and Cheryl live in a small log home in the woods in Mount Vernon, Maine and use their home as a base camp for operations. With two young daughters who love the outdoors, and their energetic black lab "Baxter", they can usually be found hiking, backpacking or canoeing on a "Maine Trail".
Together as a team, Rich & Cheryl offer exciting outdoor experiences on several of Maine's waterways & hiking trails. Personally, as your guide, Rich stands behind his commitment to his clients in offering his skills & knowledge to coordinate your adventure and to provide a safe, legal and quality trip for you and your group!
