Norma Ketay Asnes , a writer and producer who has written extensively about New York in newspapers and magazines , is former president of the American Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford , Connecticut. She is president of Ketay-Asnes Productions , a parent company for many diversified activities , and founder of Unit 17 , which specializes in composing and performing new material for jazz audiences.Mrs. Asnes serves on the board of the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies , and is a member of the Visiting Committee of Bank Street College and of the Madison Council of the Library of Congress.
