Paul Harold Asmundson
On Monday, October 9, 2006 at the Brandon General Hospital, Paul Harold Asmundson of MacGregor, MB, beloved husband of Sylvia, father of Chad, Lana and Naomi passed away at the age of 65 years.
...
Paul was born on September 19, 1941 son of John (Jack) and Ina Asmundson at Beaver.
...
Paul cared much for his immediate family as well as his parents and siblings. He worked very hard to provide for them all, included the gift of a house to his parents for their retire.
Paul learned to serve his community at an early age by doing chores, jobs and tasks for friends, neighbors and relatives. Having been faithful to these, he went on to serve on boards and executive. He was an adherent of the Bethel Pentecostal Church at MacGregor and served as a board member for a number of years. Paul was an active member of the Beaver district and represented the area on the Municipality of Westbourne as a councilor for 16 years. He also served on the Katrime Pool Elevator board, the board of the United Grain Growers Association at Beaver and the executive of the Full Gospel Business Men's Association at Gladstone.
Paul enjoyed camping with his family, hunting, fishing and playing baseball. He especially enjoyed music and singing in the house or where ever he was.
Paul was actively involved in his children's interests; music lessons, hockey, figure skating, school sports and 4H activities at Westbourne, Rossendale and Austin. Paul spent many hours driving his children to practices as well as tying many skate laces for his children and many other children.
Predeceased by his parents and a stillborn son; Kyle.
