   Dr. Brent Askins is the presenter. He serves as an Associate Professor of Vocational Teacher Education in Architectural and Manufacturing Sciences at Western Kentucky University.    In Brent's spare time he raises cattle, is an avid woodworker, and collects nostalgic items such as pedal cars and coke machines. Brent believes that if people have an old motorcycle, an old convertible, and a straight pool stick, they only need the time to enjoy them.

   Brent Askins from Bowling Green, Kentucky will be our keynote speaker on Wednesday. His topic will be "Leadership: Do You Measure Up?". He will also do two breakout sessions on Wednesday.
   
   Some other very important reasons why you should plan on attending the SDACTE Conference include: SDACTE will be celebrating its 30th year of existence. We will be planning special activities throughout the conference to recognize this achievement.

   Dr. Brent Askins is an Associate Professor of Career & Technical Teacher Education in the Dept. of Architectural & Manufacturing Sciences at Western Kentucky University, located in Bowling Green, KY.
   
   In addition to his teaching position, he serves as a trainer for the Kentucky Center for Training and Development conducting approximately 50 sessions a year in the areas of human relations, managing conflict and improving learning and teaching techniques.
   
   His teaching career began as a high school Industrial Arts instructor and he has experience as a mechanic for Olin Chemicals and in supervision at Keller Mfg.
