   Askew joins Samaritan Counseling Service Professional counselor Julie Askew has joined the Samaritan Counseling Center of Northeast Georgia as a relationship and psychosexual counselor. Askew is currently working on her doctorate degree in marriage and family therapy at the University of Georgia. She is a trained and experienced psychotherapist in sexual issues as well as grief. She has special training in working with hearing impaired clients. Askew has a diploma in counseling from Central School for Counseling in London, England, and a master's of science degree in psychotherapy and psychosexual therapy from South Bank University in London. She is a registered counselor with the United Kingdom Register of Counselors and an accredited counselor with the British Association for Counseling and Psychotherapy.

   Julie Askew specializes in working with couples and individuals experiencing problems related to issues of sex and sexuality. She also has experience in therapy with couples, mothers and daughters, bereavement, and previously worked in mental health for England's National Health Service. Julie received her Masters degree in Psychosexual Therapy and Psychotherapy from the South Bank University in London. She attained accredited counselor status in England. Julie is currently studying for a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Georgia where her research focus is female sexuality.
