The head of security at Qantas, Jeff Askew, says he has already begun talks with the Federal Government about the screening of all employees who work air-side.
He says Australia has a very good aviation security system, but there is room for improvement.
"We've got some criminal activity that's occurred and has been a concern to the public and to Qantas and I think that's what we need to work through, as well as looking at the terrorism side of things," he said.
