   James Askew, president of rareEarth Project Marketing Ltd, worked for four years as the Regional Director and Regional Vice President of Intrawest's Playground Real Estate from November1999 to October 2003. Intrawest is the largest resort real estate developer in North America, owning and/or operating 14 ski, golf and warm weather resorts in North America and Europe. In his capacity as Regional VP sales and marketing, James was the leader of all Pacific Northwest and Central US real estate resort sales and marketing activities, and reported directly to the president of Playground.
   
   Resorts under James' leadership included: Whistler, Panorama Mountain Village, Sun Peaks, Hawaii, Kelowna/Okanagan, Copper Mountain, Keystone, and Aspen / Snowmass. Within this "business unit" a total sales and marketing team of over 75 reported indirectly to James, with eight key directors, regional directors, and regional marketing specialists reporting directly to James. While Intrawest was the key client developer for Playground, other clients such as Centex Properties (the largest residential developer in North America) represented Playground's scope of business.
   
   As president of rareEarth Project Marketing and previously for four years as regional VP of Playground, James has led his various teams in approximately 35 project sales launches, totaling over $1.25 billion.

   James Askew, who is a consultant for Playground Real Estate, said there had been more than 1,000 inquiries about the suites in the Delta.
   
   "The response has been overwhelming… what it has done is really confirm to us the quality of Whistler and truly a world class resort."
   
   Askew said he was also not in a position to address the Hilton issue.
   
   "I know they're working hard to finalize things," he said.
