He then became STC's first Director, New Ventures, with responsibility for forming startup companies based on UNM technologies, including selecting technologies that were candidates for startup formation, defining the market opportunity and business model, drafting preliminary business plans, conceiving intellectual property strategies and securing intellectual property protection, recruiting senior management, and obtaining seed funding.
Prior to joining Peacock Myers, Phil held the position of Director, Product Management for Concise Logic, Inc., a UNM spinoff that provides specialized software for semiconductor circuit designers.There he drafted product specifications, identified early adopter customers and recruited corporate partners, oversaw the intellectual property portfolio, managed prototype software development, and assisted with business plan development and fund raising. -
