   Ms. Ashworth became the director of bands at South Point in the fall of 2002. She is responsible for the marching band, pep band, concert band, and the middle school bands. She graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. While there, she served as the Drum Major for the Marching Thunder. Ms. Ashworth has also served her country honorably, having served in the United States Marine Corps. Prior to her position at South Point, she was the Assistant Band Director at Cabell Midland.
