   Lilian Ashworth: Drama and Pre-teen Project Coordinator
   
   Originally from the UK, Lily brings to Canada years of professional performance and teaching experience. She achieved a BA in Performing Arts, from Middlesex University, London and spent seven years touring Europe and India, performing with East Indian and contemporary theatre companies. Throughout her years as a performer, Lily taught, wrote and devised several theatre productions for children that received high acclaim from awarding bodies.
   
   Her passion for teaching drama prompted her to go on and complete a Post Graduate Certificate in Drama Education. She has spent the last six years enthusiastically working with young people in mainstream schools, pupil referral units and secure units in the UK. Lily skillfully uses "drama as a vehicle for learning," enabling her to deliver an exciting curriculum for young people of all ages. She was recognized as a "teacher of excellence" in a recent government inspection.
   
   Lily founded and directs theArtsCan Theatre Company, here in Canada. Performance projects range from a devised physical theatre piece about the sinking of the Titanic to an African legends project.
