A. P. ASHURST

A. P. Ashurst was the first pastor of First Baptist Church Quincy.He was from Columbia, Alabama, and was already retired from preaching, and living near Thomasville, Georgia, when he was preaching in Quincy (1893). Ashurst was the sole owner and editor of the Florida Baptist Witness in 1884, but sold half interest to S. M. Provence in 1885.

A. P. Ashurst served as pastor of Cedar Pond in Jackson County in 1878.He was the first pastor of First Baptist Church Quincy.He was from Columbia, Alabama, and was already retired from preaching, and living near Thomasville, Georgia, when he was preaching in Quincy (1893).

Ashurst was the sole owner and editor of the Florida Baptist Witness in 1884, but sold half interest to S. M. Provence in 1885.
