   Kathryn Ashton is a partner in the Chicago office of Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP and a member of the Firm's Health Care Practice Group, where she concentrates her practice in health care transactional matters with an emphasis in finance. Ms. Ashton has experience representing both lenders and borrowers in connection with secured and unsecured financings, as well as a variety of private and public companies in mergers and acquisitions, dispositions and corporate restructuring. Ms. Ashton also represents hospitals, health systems and physician groups in financing and general corporate matters. Ms. Ashton serves as underwriter's counsel, bond counsel, borrower's counsel and counsel to credit and liquidity providers for health care, qualified small issue private activity bonds and governmental financings. Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Ashton worked in the futures markets at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade.
