Glen Ashton, vice president of Apex Technical Services Inc., said he's been working with WT for a number of years and recently saw the white buffalo.

"I've worked with WT for a while doing consulting, and I really like the people that I was working with," he said."When I saw the white buffalo, I thought one would look nice in front of the Physical Plant."

Ashton said he can't discuss the exact amount that was paid for the buffalo, but he said the value of the buffalo is about $3,000.

The slightest finding forces a cleanup, said Glen Ashton, owner of Apex Technical Services Inc., a consulting firm.

Apex, under health department rules, is monitoring abatement by Asbestos Maintenance Services Inc. at a former nursing home that Frank Phillips College in Borger is converting to a dormitory.Federal and state rules require a licensed, independent monitor to oversee such a job, Ashton said.
