Tracie Ashman Tracie was the back-up catcher for Team Alaska, who to this day still cherishes the limousine ride from the Kalamazoo airport when she arrived at the tournament. She also enjoyed the road trip to Lake Michigan she took with her host family. Tracie, now 25, received her degree in education from the University of Nevada and is a special education teacher in the Anchorage School District. She is working on a Masters Degree in counseling. Tracie spends a great deal of her free time in the summer playing slow-pitch softball with some of her Team Alaska teammates, along with coach Melican Nevala and coach's husband Matt.
