Terry Ashman was co-founder in 1981 of the publicly listed company Solution 6 (ASX: SOH), the world's leading business systems supplier to the professional accountancy market place, and held office as the Managing Director of Solution 6 Holdings Limited since its public listing on the Australian Stock Exchange in 1987 until March 1997.

Terry's background and experiences stem across all facets of international and domestic business, public company responsibilities and numerous aspects of finance, mergers and divestments.He has been in business in Australia and New Zealand since 1969, he is a Foundation Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the Institute of Directors (United Kingdom).

Terry has held the role of Chairman of Ashman Automotive Pty Ltd since 1994 and is a co-founder and key visionary behind Force Lotus racing.

Terry entered into the IT field starting as a programmer and at age 20, Terry was appointed General Manager of a New Zealand computer company based in Suva, Fiji.Terry later founded his own software services business (specialising in Wang) and in 1977 that company was merged with Hartley Computer Applications, Australia.

In 1981, Terry founded Solution 6 Pty Ltd and as Managing Director successfully listed Solution 6 Holdings Limited on the Australian Stock Exchange in 1987.Since that time and up to his retirement from Solution 6 in 1998, Terry initiated significant world wide expansion (mergers, acquisitions and new business establishments) of the Solution 6 group.Terry was one of the initial people involved in the Internet in Australia via the establishment (1995) and rapid growth of Access One which was one of the big four internet service providers at the time (Telstra/Bigpond, Connect.Com, Ozemail and Access One).Access One was acquired by OzEmail from Solution 6 in 1998.Upon retirement as the Group Managing Director, the Solution 6 Group consisted of 23 offices in 9 countries staffed by over 700 people.

Terry is a current member of the Institute of Directors, United Kingdom (IOD , UK) and is a Foundation Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD).
