"The first time they got TVs and VCRs," said Captain Don Ashlock of the Van Zandt County Sheriff's Office."Since then, they've been taking videos, laundry baskets, towels, soap, ladies lingerie, kid's toys and they even took one woman's Valentines Teddy Bear."
"They're leaving guns and TVs."he said."It's like they're furnishing their house."
...
"They sometimes have a child with them," Captain Ashlock said.
Burglary reports read like a grocery shopping list. One victim reported a bar of soap, a tube of toothpaste and six rolls of toilet paper stolen.
Another report listed stolen a Valentines bear, a Valentines mouse, a cat carrier, a spice rack, a wicker chair and lingerie.
A "cow" oven mit has even been reported stolen and the pair has been known to take snacks.
...
"What we think they are really doing is putting the stolen items underneath laundry basket in case they are stopped," Ashlock said.
The pair are believed to have also burglarized homes in Smith and Wood Counties.
"They'll hit and skip a few days and then come back," he said.
The pair have not hit Van Zandt County in more than a week and police are theorizing they may be in jail.
Still, the sheriff's office is asking residents to report any siting of the women fitting this description to the nearest law enforcement agency.
