   Scott Ashline received his bachelor's degree in finance from Boston College in 1990, then taught finance and accounting at a college in Belize, Central America, for one year on a volunteer basis.
   
   In 1992, San Diego became his home and he began his career with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, where his clientele largely consists of the "Who's Who" in the San Diego legal community.
   
   Scott also specializes in working with a variety of businesses, from sole proprietors to large publicly traded companies, primarily on their executive benefits.
   
   He has become extremely involved in championing the causes of the financial services industry, with professional groups nationwide inviting Scott to speak to their members.He's addressed the California Society of CPAs, law firms, corporations, as well as elected officials in Sacramento.

   Scott Ashline gets a tremendous amount of satisfaction from the work he does as a financial adviser for the Downtown San Diego office of Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. He,s pleased by the clientele he,s cultivated , both individuals and corporations. He likes being able to play a part in his clients, well-being, whether it,s putting together a financial plan for education or retirement or estate planning.
   
   ,I never have the frustration that I haven,t helped people,, says Ashline, 38. ,I tell my wife, I would do this job for a lot less money.,
   
   A graduate of Boston College, Ashline spent a year teaching finance and accounting at a college in Belize, Central America. That experience was so rewarding that he has made an effort to volunteer for youth groups here.
   
   Ashline is president-elect for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego, where he has chaired three major fund-raisers.    Ashline also loves spending time with his own children, 5-year-old Isabella and 8-year-old Amanda. He and his wife of 12 years, Noemi, raise their family in Carmel Valley.
