Martin J. Ashley of the Republic and Green Springs area has been appointed broker in Northwest Ohio for Sunbelt Business Brokers of Toledo.

Ashley graduated from Ohio State University with a master of arts and Michigan State University with a bachelor of arts in business education and accounting.He worked in business for 20 years (Standard Oil Co., Allstate Insurance Co., Merrill Lynch Stock Co. and as an international sales representative with Singer, Whitemore and Associates Inc.) He published curriculum in accounting for the National Center for Research in Vocational Education for the Saudi Arabian Oil Co.
