Spring 2001 was an especially good time to photograph Texas wildflowers, says Ashley, an accountant from Houston, who captured this Indian paintbrush on film one overcast morning at Lake Buchanan."I think the dark tree background really adds depth to the photo," she says.She used a 28-300mm lens and a tripod.
