   Dr. Ashjaee is the Vice President of Engineering at SoloPower. He received his Ph.D. from the Stanford University and has been an R&D executive in the semiconductor process equipment industry for over 20 years. He joined NuTool as Vice President of Engineering and Manufacturing in 1999. Prior to NuTool, he served at Lam Research Corporation as a Business Unit Vice President and at Silicon Valley Group Corporation as a Director of New Product Development.

   As vice president of engineering, Jay Ashjaee is responsible for both hardware and software engineering. He builds the vehicles that deliver the process technology.
   
   Prior to joining NuTool, Dr. Ashjaee served as vice president of engineering at Lam Research Corporation. At Lam he oversaw a staff of over 200 and managed annual budgets up to $40 million. He enhanced the 4420 and 9400PTX poly etcher products, and developed and introduced the Lam 9600PTX cluster metal etcher. Before that he spent 10 years at the Silicon Valley Group where he held various engineering management positions, developing and managing numerous new products including the SVG 86, 88, and 90 Series Track system.
   
   Dr. Ashjaee holds a doctorate degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University.
