Dr Ashby was educated at Westcliff High School for Girls, Holloway College and the University of Cambridge.She is currently Head of Science at Highsted Grammar School in Sittingbourne, having previously been employed as Head of Chemistry at the Invicta Grammar School in Maidstone.
