Miriam Arond Elected to National Board of Trustees of March of Dimes
Miriam Arond, Director of the Good Housekeeping Research Institute at Hearst Magazines, has been elected to the National Board of Trustees of the March of Dimes Foundation, it was announced today.
March of Dimes trustees, who serve as volunteers, represent the public in governing the organization and advancing its mission and serve five-year terms.
"Miriam Arond has a long relationship with the March of Dimes and has served as an advisor with great distinction," said Dr. Jennifer L. Howse, President of the March of Dimes.

Ms. Arond's career has been devoted to family, health and consumer advocacy issues.As Director of the Good Housekeeping Research Institute, a state-of-the-art product evaluation laboratory, Ms. Arond oversees a staff of engineers, chemists, nutritionists and other scientists, with the goal of educating and informing consumers about products, safety and advocacy issues.She was Editor-in-Chief of Child magazine from 2000-2007 and, before that, of American Health magazine.In addition, she has been Contributing Editor to Bride's magazine, a staff feature writer at the New York Daily News and has also worked at Doubleday Books.Ms. Arond and her husband, psychiatrist Samuel L. Pauker, M.D. are co-authors of The First Year of Marriage: What to Expect, What to Accept, and What You Can Change, which is based on a nationwide study of newlyweds.
