   Jane is employed as a legal assistant with the Wertz & Leehey, P.C., law firm located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Jane has worked in the legal field since 1973. Ms. Armstrong works primarily in personal injury and workers' compensation litigation.
   
   Jane served as Region I Director for the Iowa Association of Legal Assistants in1995-1996, as Second Vice-President and Membership Chair in 1996-1998, Public Relations Liaison for 1998-1999, and as President of IALA for 1999-2001. In conjunction with her duties as NALA Liaison, she also serves the association as Placement Chair, and Technology Chair. As NALA (National Association of Legal Assistants) Liaison, Jane works closely with NALA representatives and other legal assistants across the country to promote our profession.
   
   In her capacity as Technology Chair, Jane has developed, designed, and is administrator of IALA's web site.
