Bernard Francis Archbishop

1985 - Bernard Francis Law Archbishop of Boston (Cardinal Law, fifth Archbishop of Boston, was born in Torreon, Mexico on November 4, 1931. His father was an officer in the United States Air Force. After attending Harvard University, he completed seminary at the Pontifical North American College, the Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio and was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Natchez-Jackson, Missisippi on Mary 21, 1961. From 1968 to 1971 he served as Director of the Bishop's Committee for Ecumenical and Inter-Religious Affairs and then became Vicar General of the Diocese of Natchez-Jackson.
