Archbell hired as Kenyon assistant

GAMBIER, Ohio -- Jason Archbell enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Lords lacrosse program.He came to campus in August after working at Virginia Wesleyan College, where he worked as an assistant coach and defensive coordinator since the 2002 season.
During his stay at VWC, Archbell's duties included planning practices, running drills, breaking down game film, scouting opponents, and game-planning.
A native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Archbell also picked up valuable coaching experience at the Norfolk Academy Lacrosse Camp in Norfolk, Virginia, where he served as the camp's director for two years.During the same time, he also served as the associate director for the Marlin Lacrosse Camp, STX Lacrosse Camp, and Marlin Fall Classic.
Archbell earned a bachelor's degree in Managerial Economics from Hampden-Sydney College in 2002.As a collegiate athlete, he was a four-year defensive starter for the Hampden-Sydney lacrosse team and led the Tigers to one Old Dominion Athletic Conference title and three NCAA playoff appearances.He served as team captain, was a two-time All-ODAC honoree, and was named an honorable mention All-American player as a senior.
