Diego Arancibia

Diego Arancibia, Edison Middle School Site Coordinator

Born in a small fishing village of Iquique, Chile, Diego came to the United States at the age of 3 with his father, mother and older brother.Diego went on to earn his degree in sociology from San Diego state university.While in school, Diego worked with the YMCA's Youth & Family Services after-school programs.Beginning as a youth leader and moving up to site manager, special events coordinator and service learning program director, he was able to see and experience the distinct levels within after-school programs.

Diego is a certified trainer with the Institute of Cultural Affairs where he has had the opportunity to facilitate workshops, action plans and group discussions with regards to all aspects of after-school programs.
