"The launch of the Profile Credit Card Series is an outstanding innovation for a new exclusive range of credit cards that Bank of Beirut has developed to widen the scope of the credit cards' concept in the Middle East, thus crossing borders with unlimited ideas of usage," Aouad said.

He added that the Profile Credit Card Series, targeted to professionals, is a new ground-breaking series tailored to meet the specific needs and requirements of a highly sophisticated market of professionals while preserving the utmost level of security and flexibility of usage.

Aouad added that Bank of Beirut does not require the applicants for the new credit cards to have an account in its bank.

Bank of Beirut officials said that they selected doctors, engineers, bankers and teachers because they represent an important segment of society.

"But in the future we hope to include other professions," Aouad said.

They received their $ 15 000 prize at Bank of Beirut Jal el Dib branch in the presence of Mr. Georges Aouad, Head of Retail Banking Division, Mrs. Isabelle Naoum, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications Department, Mr. Carlo Abou Jaoude, Jal el Dib Branch Manager,Miss Cynthia Bardawil, Head of Product Development & Marketing, and other staff members from Bank of Beirut.
