"Murder on the Roscoe Express" was written and directed by Ginny Anderson, owner of Anderson Communications Services.Vowing with a wink that the story is "completely fictional," she said, nonetheless, the script's inspiration comes from very real issues that have polarized the stateline community -- passenger rail service and Perryville Road.
"The participants will hear people in the drama talking about these fictional events in ways that they're talking about current issues," Anderson said.
The story is set at a town meeting, where people have gathered for a debate on the pros and cons of bringing rail service to Roscoe.Anderson has cast Chris Deremo of The Carpet Market in Main Street Square and Dr. Bill Koppari, owner of Lifestyle Chiropractic, as elected officials -- one for and one opposed to the rail project.
