Tyler Anderson
...
Tyler Anderson is a write-in candidate for the city seat on the school board.
Anderson, who is employed in the engineering department at Bobcat in Gwinner, states that he was concerned when he heard that no one was running for the open school board seats. He also noted that, of the board members currently serving the district, none have elementary school aged children. He thinks it might be beneficial to add a board member who can speak from the point of view of someone with younger children.
"The current board is doing a fine job," stated Anderson, "but I think they can always use some help.I believe I can bring some new outlook to the board since I come from a different, but similar community, that of Crosby, North Dakota."After growing up in Crosby, Tyler and his family lived for a while in Illinois and then in Fargo, where his children attended school.
"Because of my moving around I have had a view of other school systems," said Anderson.
Anderson, his wife Lynn, and their three children, two of whom are in elementary school and one in high school, have lived in Lisbon for two years. He currently serves on the local youth soccer board as well as being active in the Lisbon Area Jaycees.
"When I heard that no one was running for the open school board seats, I decided it was time to step up and run as a write-in candidate," said Anderson.
