As team physician, Thomas E. Anderson, MD has been an integral part of the Chagrin Falls High School medical team for the past twenty years. Dr. Anderson believes that the purpose of being a team physician is "granting access to the best medical care that one can provide to these athletes 24 hours a day seven days a week even if you need to refer the patient to another physician."
Dr. Anderson completed his undergraduate education at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. He then went on to medical school at the University of Iowa. His residency program was completed at the University of Wisconsin and then he did his fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Thomas Anderson, MD is currently the Staff Orthopedic Surgeon in the Section of Sports Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Articles by Thomas Anderson, MD can be found in numerous publications including the Wisconsin Medical Journal, the Journal of Musculoskeletal Medicine and the American Journal of Sports Medicine. Dr. Anderson has also completed many sports medicine presentations which have taken place at such venues as the International College of Surgeons Annual Meeting, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting, and the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine.
Dr. Anderson is a member of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and The Cleveland Orthopaedic Society.
Although he has been widely published and has traveled to numerous locations with sports medicine presentations, Thomas Anderson has been honored to give of his time to the student athletes of Chagrin Falls High School.
