   I write in support of Tom Anderson for Judge. I have known and worked with Tom for more than six years at the county. Tom is the public defender, which gives him daily, in-depth understanding of the judicial system - he's in the local courts everyday. Tom Anderson has extensive experience as judge pro- tem and administrative law judge pro- tem. Tom Anderson has knowledge of the drug and mental health issues that end up in court, and I respect his approach, which includes both punishment and rehabilitation so that offenders do not re-offend. That approach saves the taxpayers money and reduces the burden on the courts by actually solving the problem that leads offenders into the judicial system in the first place. Tom Anderson is a man of integrity, respect and fair mind. He will make an outstanding jurist. I urge you to join me in voting Tom Anderson for judge.

   After thoughtful consideration I have decided to cast my vote on Nov. 7 for Tom Anderson for Judge. With 23 years courtroom experience, 10 years as a county administrator and extensive experience as a judge pro-tem, Tom Anderson is the only candidate with the experience to walk into the courtroom and go to work. Since he's in the Nevada County courts everyday, he already knows and understands the programs that are serving us well - drug court, peer court, mental health court (which he helped create) - and now he's working to create a domestic violence court.
