   Terry Anderson, director of golf at Eagle Crest Resort in Redmond and a longtime member of the golf forum, said the annual survey points out just how important the sport is to Central Oregon.
   
   "Most of us participate and we try to give Alana accurate figures," he said. "We think it's important that there's an accurate accounting."
   
   Moreover, the survey shows how things have changed from when the forum got started about a decade ago because back then, "No one would pay attention to golf," Anderson said. "It's a big industry now," he said, "and the numbers show it."
