   Terry Thompson-Anderson, a cookbook author and director of culinary development for Fischer & Wieser Specialty Foods, told her tale of how a salsa recipe she had concocted at the last minute for her young daughter became the cornerstone of her current success. She had invited her cookbook publisher to her home for a working meeting to resolve some issues concerning her next cookbook publication. Thompson-Anderson decided to make the salsa as part of the lunch she had prepared for their meeting. Her publisher loved the salsa and insisted that Thompson-Anderson include it in her cookbook. When she offered samples of her salsa to customers at subsequent book signings, she discovered that most of them were interested in buying her salsa as a ready-to-eat, convenience product. This led to an affiliation with Fischer & Wieser who added her salsa to their product line and made her their director of culinary development.
