   Teresa Anderson will begin at the Grand Island-based health district on Jan. 19 at an annual salary of $62,110. She will take over for Sonja Simpson, who is retiring Feb. 6.
   
   Anderson is a registered nurse who has worked at Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings for 25 years.
   
   In her new job, she will oversee operations from restaurant health inspections to disease control and even national security.

   The finalists are Stephen Quirk of Urbandale, Iowa, and Teresa J. Anderson of Hastings.

   Anderson is the associate director of rehabilitation and coordinator of health enhancement at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings. She formerly was a senior nurse and staff nurse at the hospital. She is a registered nurse and holds a master's degree in community health nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
   
   Quirk will be interviewed next week and a final interview is being scheduled with Anderson, Simpson said.
