Sharon Anderson
Director of Recreation
Associated with the Park District since 1994; Anderson is currently responsible for the management of all Park District recreation programs, classes, special events and facilities - with the exception of the Golf Course. In addition to supervising staff, she is responsible for managing the financial operation of the Recreation Division as well as planning for the future needs or improvements to facilities and meeting the programming requests of the community.
Anderson has over 29 years of experience in the field and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. A recipient of numerous awards, she has sat on the executive boards of the Illinois Parks & Recreation Association; Northwest Special Recreation Association and the Special Leisure Services Foundation and served as president of the Suburban Parks & Recreation Association as well as Prospect High School's Athletic Booster Club.
