OCOEE -- Commissioner Scott Anderson held on to his runoff-election lead Wednesday to win his fifth term on the City Commission, despite a close absentee-ballot count.
Anderson, who has served on the commission for 10 years, pulled in 90 absentee votes -- just one more than his opponent, Janet Shira.
...
With his Tuesday precinct lead of 378 votes, Anderson received a total of 468 votes, or 55 percent.
...
"Being an elected official is part of the human experience," Anderson said Wednesday.
...
Anderson said he now will concentrate on completing the process to form a Community Redevelopment Agency for the city, continue to work for more parks and work with developers to create a new Main Street for Ocoee.
