Scott Anderson, DO, align= Dr. Anderson is a husband of 19 years and a father of 4 children (two girls and two boys). He and his wife are actively involved in their church as leaders, marriage counselors, and friends to many. They are also committed to teaching their children to love God with all their hearts. In addition, Dr. Anderson has been accused of being a "rabid" Nebraska Cornhusker fan. However, that isn't saying much given the general status of most Cornhusker fans. If you ask him what his favorite past times are, he may well say, "reading my Bible, fishing, and 'hoops.'"

Dr. Anderson is a graduate of Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State) and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCOM). He joined Academic Medicine, Inc. in July of 1990 after completing his Internal Medicine residency at Kirksville Osteopathic Medical Center (KOMC). On October 31, 1996, he was named a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists. He has been an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at KCOM, teaching Renal Diseases and other internal medicine classes. He is a member of the American Sleep Disorders Association, Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians & Surgeons, and the American College of Osteopathic Internists.

Dr. Anderson practices general internal medicine in both the office and hospital settings. He provides care in the critical care unit at the hospital and performs procedures including EGD (endoscopy of the esophagus and stomach), bronchoscopy (endoscopy of the lung), and complete cardiac stress testing. His clinical interests include diabetes management, critical care, medical management of the surgical patient, infectious diseases, sleep disorders (including sleap apnea), and pulmonary health management.
