   Meet the Staff: Sandy Anderson, Executive Director
   
   Recognizing that more work needed to be done for our youngest children, Sandy began working in the early care and education arena with positions at Williamson-Burnet County Opportunities and Austin Families. With this early experience under her belt, she moved to the state level to work with the Texas Workforce Commission. Through her work at the TWC she acquired expertise in the child care subsidy management system and quality contract system. Additionally, she gained experience in technology and information systems. During her tenure at TWC, she worked closely with the local workforce boards and other state agencies. She promotes coalition building in the work to improve the quality early care and education for all children across Texas.
   
   Currently, Sandy is pursuing a Master of Human Services in Conflict Resolution. According to Sandy, "The field of conflict resolution challenges us to go beyond our individual positions and address our common interests to produce far reaching equitable solutions. In other word, it is an advanced degree in 'All I really need to know I learned in kindergarten (R. Fulghum).' "
   
   Sandy recognizes the value of an equitable work/life balance. Her son, Abe, an active and lively fourteen-year old, rounds out her work/life balance.
