   Since starting with TCG in early 2000, Ryan has spread his talents across a variety of projects. He has worked on graphics and interfaces for clients such as the American Geophysical Union, the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Science News for Kids. Ryan is also responsible for TCG's marketing materials and Web site.
   
   Ryan is still looking forward to seeing what kind of cool design work he can get away with incorporating into TCG's products and services.
   
   Background and Education
   
   After years of following split interests in art and the sciences, Ryan tried to merge these interests in the form of majoring in Industrial Design at CCS-CAD in Detroit. Although this did not turn out to be the amazing solution he hoped, it did lead in very useful directions. The most important of these directions was to the Pratt Institute in NY where he completed his BFA in Communication Design with a major in Art Direction.
   
   Business Experience
   
   Before joining TCG, Ryan worked for a variety of advertising agencies, both digital and traditional. This has given him the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects with a wide variety of styles. He has created advertising for print, posters, point of purchase, direct mail, billboards, radio, Web, multimedia, and more. Although he occasionally misses doing traditional advertising, in the digital arena Ryan continues to be entranced by new, emerging technologies and the capabilities and opportunities they create for new forms of design.
