Tanner Anderson, 8-year-old son of Amanda and Ryan Anderson of Vermillion, will compete Oct. 25 in the state Punt, Pass & Kick competition scheduled Oct. 25 in the DakotaDome in Vermillion.

The winners in the competition were determined measuring the total distance of each participants punt, pass and kick, and adding them. Anderson's totaled 184 feet, enough for first place.
